Data Privacy
The Lyceum payroll/HR Service has completed the security Certification and Authentication (C&A) process for the Program Support Center (PSC) Agency of the Department of Health and Human Services. This effort required our system to meet stringent security requirements, including compliance with the Privacy Act. Lyceum agrees to provide the following security procedures for the protection of any data housed under this Service:
- All personnel with production access undergo a background government security clearance and financial records check. Lyceum maintains a signed ‘Rules of Behavior’ pledge for all persons with production access.
- All data transmitted shall be protected. Data encrypted, by triple-DES, 128-bit SSL, or an algorithm deemed to be equally secure, then transmitted through secure network communication links.
- Data is retained through Continuation of Operations Procedures (COOP). Backup versions of data are supported through a redundant installation, that is geographically removed and asynchronously replicated. Procedures for the activation of the backup installation are documented and backup activation exercises are constantly performed.
